The First Boston Turkish Film FestivalSM was organized by TACS, in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts. The Festival consisted of nine films and documentaries, directed by prominent Turkish directors. All films, except the documentaries, were in 35 mm. and in Turkish with English subtitles. The MFA Calendar covered the Festival and a full-page picture from the Turkish film “The Town”  appeared on the cover page. A press meeting and special screenings for the film critiques were held on February 13 & 15 at Museum of Fine Arts. The Festival received very positive feedback from the audience and the film critics. Boston Globe and Boston Phoenix published full columns about the Festival.
