Dear Members and Friends,

We have worked closely with the Boston Mayor’s Office for many years across various projects and capacities. For the second year in a row, we are proud to continue our partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Participatory Budgeting for the "Ideas in Action" project. As one of a selected group of community organizations, we are honored to represent our community in this city-wide effort.

"Ideas in Action" asks residents: "How would you spend $2 million to benefit our communities?"

Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process where community members decide how to spend part of a public budget. Whether it’s a local park improvement or a new community service, any and all project ideas are welcome—no suggestion is too big or too small!

We invited you to voice your ideas and help benefit neighborhood you work or live in, and asked you to spread the word to friends, family, or anyone you think might be interested in shaping the future of Boston.

Our first meeting took place on May 15, 2026 at the Goethe-Institut Boston and we had two online meetings on July 19 and July 26.

Our work in the project continues in the Proposal Development process in October - December, 2026.
