IDEAS IN ACTION

City of Boston's Participatory Budgeting announced the selected proposals which will benefit from $2.2 million of the City's budget. As shared with our members, TACS-New England was involved in all phases of the Ideas in Action project and we are happy share that three of the selected proposals were either developed on the ideas suggested by our network (1) and (2) or our members were instrumental in it's development (3). These propoals are:

(1) Neighborhood Fresh Food Access Initiative; (2) Green My Block; (3) Youth Financial Literacy and Empowerment Workshops.

Between January 15 and February 15, 4841 Boston residents voted online and in-person for their favorite proposals. The Office of Participatory Budgeting just announced the eight (8) winning ideas for 2026 cycle.
